The National Standards for Community Engagement - full PDF

The National Standards for Community Engagement are good-practice principles designed to support and inform the process of community engagement, and improve what happens as a result.  They were originally launched in 2005 and since then they have been used to support community engagement, and user involvement, in Scotland in areas such as community planning and health and social care. They have been widely accepted by a range of practitioners as key principles for effective practice.

'VOiCE - Paper version' 

The paper based resource will allow community groups and agencies to plan, monitor and evaluate their engagement activity in a participative way without the need for an internet connection and a computer.  The PDF contains all of the elements of the VOiCE online software and can be scaled up to A3 size to allow a group to work collectively on the questions.

 'National Standards Review - Paper version' 

The paper based resource will allow community groups and agencies to review their community engagement activity in a more participative.  The PDF contains a series of questions which will support the evaluation of the community engagement activity against the National Standards for Community Engagement. The PDF can be scaled up to A3 size to allow a group to work collectively on the questions.
